Birth of the original essential oil distillery and farm in Zaqatala, setting the foundation for our aromatic legacy.
Our exquisite roses were celebrated in a documentary “Roses of Zaqatala” by the USSR, where you could see the unique charm of our blossoms to the world.
Economic shifts of that period led to the closure of our facilities, halting production but not our spirit.
Reviving Tradition: We reignited the rose industry in Zaqatala with a renewed commitment, planting our first rose seedlings across 64 hectares.
We continued to plant rose seedlings, ensuring the sustainability and growth of our floral heritage.
Introduction of Lavender seedlings and First Rose Oil! We diversified our crops with lavender and doubled our plantation to 125 hectares, and finally crafting our first Rose essential oil
Our presence at Simppar introduced us to the international stage, where we met like-minded people and made a lot of new friends! Expanding to 145 hectares and adding peppermint to our plantation was a great way of advancing the growth of our enterprise.
Launch of Wormwood (Wild Artemisia Annua) cultivation and the first production of Peppermint Essential Oil, enriching our aromatic products.
Lecheq Farm & Distillery (ex. Azrose) reached a new horizon by participating in Beautyworld Middle East in Dubai for the first time. This event marked a significant step into the global market, allowing us to showcase our unique, organically produced essential oils and hydrolats to a wider audience.
From AzRose to Lecheq: Reflecting our evolution, we rebranded and began extensive distillery expansions to meet growing demands.
Organic Certification and Expansion: We achieved organic certification and expanded our rose plantations to 172 hectares, reinforcing our dedication to the environment around us. 2024:
Joining the International Federation of Essential Oils and Aroma Trades (IFEAT) and adding Phenethyl alcohol from Rose Damascena to our productions symbolizes our innovation and industry leadership. We also completed our distillery expansion, with 17 cohobating copper distillery tankers and 4 main cohobating tankers with total capacity of 60 tons of fresh petals per day and don’t worry we are not stopping here!
